Hmmm, this is a major topic I spontaneously wanted to talk about. As if kaam Kam nahi hein, priorities uchal nahi rahe, I'm here. Yeah sure. But, wait,...nothing to worry. Say, things will come out as they do and that's about it. What's interesting is the "After all, we're..." so we won't stop worrying and start relaxing/releasing bit by bit about n number of things. I mean, worrying about not writing worries yet, is a great combo.
It's alright.
Wait.
We'd get there, we'd get there.
Hope pops up and we go on now.
By the way, a YT video upload is on the way. With the great sneezing game since yesterday and gearing up for what's on the plate ahead (You-ji UG on the way !!!!), it will pop up a bit later. Anyway, Tune Alone is the topic. The ground strength of my collection and how I met music (mUSic/MUsic mANiAc ; --good one, nah?). I would've mentioned it as a title somewhere but now, I'd like to discuss about it, the reference frames for your collections!
Not sure if I said it earlier but even if I did, it's the time to go with it ! That is the first and foremost factor to me, my collections.....Tune Alone. About that, say, Tune O rangeela(has a distinct shade of melancholy in it) , Mere Dil Ye Pukar e Aaja, Tum na jaane, Aaja ke intezaar, Tere Duniye Se Door, Meri Soni and almost many of the songs I never listened to, as much as it was about Dhaaruni raajyasampada (and every inch of Paandava vanavaasam) & Dakshayagnam. Literally, they were it and lit. The rage, the emotion and the strength in it have always been tremendous.
Considering the ol' childhood, Kaha se aaye badra was the literal anthem, Kaun aaya mere man and Tu pyaar ka sagar are still his faves. As I grew a bit older, it was Lava kusa. Call it that way when I was 11 or so and below for sure. Emo Emo Idi and Nannu vadali neevu were the real deals around this time. Emo Emo Idi aithe it's as if I'm indebted to it forever. The one and only deal that just comes on and hits the right note anytime anyday.
Commando theme music, Conan the Barbarian soundtracks, predator theme, kickboxer, bloodsport and almost all Bruce Lee films' soundtracks. Another example would be Rocky main theme (including the version that begins with C), Rambo's It's a long road which I avoided back then like uh, no no. It was more of Rocky 4's training montage, War theme, Big boss, fist of fury and game of death theme title. Somehow I recall being sad about dad not being able to make it, so then I immediately jumped on to that 🛋 with Godfather theme music on board. Came to it during Feb '22 first week...How can I forget that? The way I delved into Godfather and Bob Acri's sleep away took me to some 50s-70s Hollywood or so. Add Scarface here along with Chase soundtrack that went on for the beginning part of '22 at least. Giorgio Moroder wholesomely entered.
And oh my, Dancing queen is the most eye-watering / melancholic thing everrrr! It's been that, and it will be. Even more than Winner takes it all or Chiquittita at least...Not sure if i said it earlier, but Another Night is another one like that. You're the best, What a feeling, Fame, Angie's heart, 100 years, You can win if you want, jet airliner (and almost a great number of Modern talking songs), Travel to Romantis, In the heat of the night, Sunset in southern California, "Say, say, say" (all alone...waiting for you baby -- part ), Liberian girl, Love is a battlefield, Angel of the city, Dove la more, You came, You can win if you want, With a little love, Just for you, True faith(this is one of many great songs I came across around '18 - '19 maybe), Big in Japan, Smooth criminal (particularly when he does the famous leaning), It's my life, PhotoPlay, Burning in third degree (just a bit of it) Geronimo's Cadillac, Lambada, Telephone call(kinda) and Model (this additionally reminds me of May 22nd, '22) are some more.
So, it's about the tune. Isolate it. That's the emphasis.
By the way, Rhim Jhim Gire Saawan is mom's thing. I mean, how finest it was, is and will be? She loved (and still loves....)it but it would've been under that unlistenable--melancholic category. And Aap Ki Nazron Ne Samjha is in dad's bag that was no less in being there. Both are IN for a year or so perhaps.
Living on Video and Don't you want me (Nov '22). Safest bets. Jamming.
More notably, Kickboxer theme also had its days in life so deeply. It never stayed unlistenable. Bloodsport's Flashback montage too.
And hey wait, Mar-Apr of '22 was earthshattering with a variety of versions of Fade to grey. Such a breath of fresh air.
Recently, it's John Barry, Percy Faith and so on. We have all the time in the world would have been in the unlistenable category then.
Signing off,
Like it goes, just a couple of hours or fullness of a couple of days. That is it. You were impacted. There is time. Go on.
